Gotham FC Relocating to Etihad Field

Gotham FC will relocate to Etihad Park in Willets Point starting in 2028. The team announced the move Tuesday alongside New York City FC, which will open the stadium in 2027. Gotham FC has played at Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, New Jersey since 2021. The two-time NWSL champion will get a dedicated locker room and its own branding on the venue’s digital signage during home matches.

The 25,000-seat stadium sits across from Citi Field and near the Mets-Willets Point subway and LIRR station. Team officials say the location puts Gotham FC within a 75-minute transit ride of more than 3 million additional fans. Season ticket deposits for the 2028 season are available now for $28.

Gotham FC plays the Washington Spirit at Citi Field on July 15 as a preview event called the Queens Classic. The club has sold nearly 38,000 tickets for that match.

Now we have two football teams, baseball, and the US Open in Queens.
